Last Updated: Feb 15, 2017 02:48PM UTC
PLEASE NOTE: IT IS BEST TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE SET ALL YOUR DETAILS UP IN BUSINESS DETAILS AS THIS SECTION USES INFORMATION FROM THAT SECTION

****CHANGING THE GENERIC THEME OF
YOUR ONLINE BOOKING WEBSITE****

  • Once you have logged in to your Online Booking options, select Website Themes.

  • When Online Booking was first set up, you will have selected a theme with your Salon Iris engineer. This can be seen as the Active Theme. If you click the box for Add A New Theme then you can completely overhaul the design.

  • You will now see a list of different themes to choose from. Select the theme that you most like and click Create Theme.

  • You will now have a disclaimer asking if you wish to start fresh with all the Online Booking details, or keep any information you have already put into the settings. If you are unsure about which option to press, select Keep My Content to safeguard any work you have done so far. Pressing Replace My Website will replace anything that has been done previously with the default content that the theme provides.

  • You will now see the new theme has been added to the list. You can choose to Activate this immediately or click Edit if you wish to make any changes to the theme. You can preview the theme by clicking Preview. If you do no want that Theme, then select Delete. The new theme will not go live as your website until you click Activate.

*****EDITING YOUR ONLINE WEBSITE CONTENT*****

  • On the options screen for Online Booking, select Edit Website from the left hand side of the page.

  • You are now taken to a preview version of your Online Booking website. Down the left of the page, you have four options. Site StylesEdit LayoutEdit Content & Website Options.

  • First of all, click on Edit Content.
  • Move your cursor over the writing on screen and you will notice that a Pencil and a Trash Can appear. To edit what is written, click the Pencil. To remove what is there, click the Trash Can.

  • By clicking the Pencil, you will be offered the editing tools. These include the ability to add images (Good for adding logos of your business for a more personalised look), as well as changing the text, the font of the text and things like colour, italics and more. Finally, if you have someone designing your site for you and they have an understanding of HTML, then there is an option to build using this feature by clicking the icon </>.

  • Click along page by page using the Page Links along the top and make any text changes that you wish to make.

  • Once you have made your changes, be sure to save them by clicking the Save Changes button. If there are changes to be saved, this button will be highlighted in Pink.

  • Now select Edit Layout from the options on the side.
  • When you move your cursor over sections of the screen, you will see an icon of four arrows pointing diagonally towards the corners of the screen. This gives you the ability to move that content on the screen. Move the information around as you want to and then press the Save Changes button. Do this on all the Page Tabs as you wish.

  • Finally, click Site Styles.
  • This will open up a tool bar with various options.

  • By going through each section one at a time, you can alter background images, size of fonts and headers, the type of fonts used and even hyperlink text if you want to link to other sites (things like Facebook, Twitter etc). Take your time to go through all of these settings as this is where you can really personalise the site and make it your own. Once you have made all of your changes, click the tick above the editing options. To cancel any chances, click the cross.

  • Once you have been through these options, click Website Options to go back to the main options page.
  • Once back on the Options page, click Pages & Navigation.

  • You will now see two main options. Pages and Main Items.
  • Pages allows you to Add any extra pages to your website for whatever you may wish to show. You can also remove pages as being Visible to Public. (A lot of business don't use the Coupons & Specials page, so this can be set to be non visible to the public for those who don't want it to feature on their site). Be sure to click Save Changes once you have made all changes you wish to make.

  • Menu Items allows you to reorder the Page Tabs and how they appear on your site. By clicking the Pencil on each Page Tab, you can also change the name of that Tab. Clicking the cross will remove that Page Tab altogether. Again, be sure to click the Save Changes button after you have made all of your amendments.
