Marketing Campaigns

PLEASE NOTE THAT MARKETING CAMPAIGNS CAN ONLY BE 
RUN DIRECTLY THROUGH SALON IRIS IF 
YOU HAVE THE PROFESSIONAL, LAN OR WAN EDITIONS AND
HAVE OUR D.M.S SERVICE.
 
MARKETING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE STANDARD EDITION.
 
TO UPGRADE FROM THE STANDARD EDITION, CALL OUR SALES TEAM ON 0121 314 4402 WHO WILL DISCUSS THIS WITH YOU.
 
  • BEFORE YOU BEGIN, YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE A PICTURES FOLDER IN THE ROOT OF YOUR C:/ DRIVE. TO DO THIS;

    Windows 7 - 
  • Go to the Start Menu and select Computer.
 

 
  • Double click on your main hard drive.
 

 
  • Click New Folder at the top of the page and call the folder Pictures.

 
  • Right click on the Pictures folder, go to Send To and then select Desktop (create shortcut).

 
  • You will now have a folder on your desktop called Pictures - Shortcut. Save any images you plan to use in Salon Iris into this folder.​
 
FOR WINDOWS 8/10, THE ONLY DIFFERENT STEP IS TO CLICK THE FOLDER ICON IN THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER BY THE WINDOWS LOGO.
 
 
  • Click on Marketing at the top of Salon Iris.


 
  • Click Add Campaign from the Campaign Options.​


 
  • Give your campaign a Name and a Description.​


 
  • Now set when you want to run the marketing campaign. You can also decide if you want to make this campaign recurring. If you set it as recurring then you can also set an end date and how often you wish to send the email.


 
  • Now select Run Marketing Clientele Wizard.


 
  • In the next few screens, you can specify who you aim your marketing campaign at. These filters can be set however you want them based on the options available. If these are left blank then it will target all clients in Salon Iris.​ Make sure on the final screen that you tick the options for Only include clients who have an email addressExclude clients who do not 'Send marketing emails to this client' selected in their profile and Only include clients who are active.


 
  • Once this is run you will see a list of the clients who are going to be targeted by this campaign. Press Close on the window that has opened.
  • You will now see next to the Run Marketing Clientele Wizard the number of people who will be targeted based on your choices.


 
  • Now you need to pick what you want to send to your clients. To create an email, press the + symbol.


 
  • Assign a Template Name and Subject that the client will see.​


 
*****CREATING AN EMAIL WITH
PRE DESIGNED TEMPLATES*****
 
  • Press Select A Different Template in the corner of the Add Template box.



 
  • You will now see a pop up box saying that any changes you've made will be lost. Select Yes if you are happy to continue.


 
  • You will now see a list of generic 'Premade' templates to choose from. Select the Template you wish to use and click Apply Template.


 
  • You will now find that the template has been added and is editable. Change the text and any photos to whatever you like. (Anything in the <> arrows will pull the information directly from the database. So <First Name> would take the clients first name out the database.)
  • Once you have made all your changes, click Save.





 
*****CREATING YOUR OWN TEMPLATES*****​
 
 
  • Give the Template a Name and a Subject.
  • Use any of the tools to create your own template designs. (Don't forget that images used will need to be saved into the Pictures folder as described above).
  • Once completed as you require. Press Save.
  • ​To send the Marketing Campaign once everything is set up as you would like, press Email Now. If you want to save the work you have done but not send the emails just now, press Save.
