Email Settings For SMTP (Version 10 Or Earlier)

If you are running on Version 10 or earlier of the software, then your email and/or texting service is provided by a 3rd party as is not directly supported by ourselves. 

It also worth remembering that Version 10 or earlier sends EMAILS ONLY. If you have a text service (like Textmagic, Textlocal etc) then they receive emails from your software and convert them to texts.

Salon Iris Version 10 or earlier WILL NOT send texts directly.

If you are on Version 11 or later, please contact our sales team about taking advantage of our DMS service, for which we handle all your email and texting from Salon Iris directly!
 
  •  Go to Tools, then Email Reminder Configuration.



 
  • When the window opens up, in the bottom left hand corner, you will see E-Mail Setup. Select this.





 
  • You now need to complete the From section with the Name of your business and your Return email address.
  • Account is the most important section. You will need to get the details for whoever provides your email account that you use for your business. To get this information, you will need to contact the relevant company (G-Mail, Hotmail, Outlook etc) or you can try googling for this information .
  • Once you are done, you can press 'Send Test E-Mail'. Fill in an email address that you have access to and select to send. If this sends successfully, then your software is working properly. If you receive an error message, this is usually down to an incorrect User name, password or SMTP Server setting. Confirm these and try again.
